Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed, has expressed disappointment following the club’s exit from the 2019/2020 Caf Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors on Sunday, were crashed out of the African second tier inter-club competition after being beaten 2-1 on aggregate by San Pedro.
And Habib who missed the clash following his engagement with the Black Meteors ahead of the Caf U23 Championship in Egypt, says he’s really disappointed that the club after exiting the CAF Champions league couldn’t make it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Asked whether he felt disappointed by the club’s exit from the Caf Confederation Cup, he quickly responded by saying ”Of course I am 100% disappointed because I have not been of myself after Sunday’s defeat but it has already happened and we are again out of the African campaign so we need to be strong,”
”In Fact, I am very hurt about Sunday’s disappointment in Ivory Coast, I know it’s not easy for the supporters to recover from the pains they are currently going through but I would plead to them all to forgive the team and pray for more success going forward,” the former AshantiGold SC defender exclusively told SportsworldGhana.com on Monday.
Habib Mohammed, is currently in Egypt with the Black Meteors team who will open their group fixture against Cameroon on Friday in the Caf U23 AFCON.
