Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC are set to let go of Wideman, Maxwell Baako on a free after talks with the player to extend his stay hit the Rock Bottom.
Baako, who was keen to stay with the Porcupines beyond the 2020-21 season is now on the verge of leaving the club as report say he has been informed by technical team about their decision to allow him walk out of the team.
The former Karela United playmaker joined the Porcupine Warriors two seasons ago and featured in the CAF Confederation Cup for the Kumasi-based team.
Baako, 24, will leave the club next week when his contract with the Red and Whites elapse.
The productive winger missed last season’s truncated league due to an injury he sustained before the start of the campaign.
