Ghana’s Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko will fly to Egypt on Tuesday 1st October, 2019 ahead of the draw for the Total U-23 Africa Cup of Nations slated for October 2nd.
The Ghana coach will find out the countries his side will face on Wednesday as he draws his programme to qualify Ghana to the 2020 TOKYO Olympics.
The official draw for the tournament will be held at the iconic 19th century palace, built on a high hill and overlooking the beautiful beaches of Alexandria.
The time for the draw is 17H00 local time (15H00 GMT).
The representatives of the qualified teams are expected to grace the occasion that will set the tone for the final tournament scheduled for 8-22 November 2019.
Ghana sealed qualification for this year’s championship after beating the Fennec Foxes of Algeria 2-1 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.
Countries that have qualified for the tournament includes hosts, Egypt, South Africa, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria and Zambia.
The three top teams in the tournament will automatically qualify to represent the continent at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
