Ghana forward Andre Ayew’s outstanding talent has been revealed again showing that apart from his attacking prowess, he is among the top in tackles in England.
Latest statistics show that the Swansea City deputy captain, is the third best striker with most tackles across the four divisions of English football including the top-flight Premier League.
This clearly show that, apart from his duties of scoring goals for his club, he also contributes superbly in winning balls for the championship side which is an extra advantage to the player.
It is more telling because he ranks even higher than most striker in the English Premier League in terms of winning balls from his side apart from scoring.
Ayew, 30, has been one of the stand out performers for Swansea City in the Championship, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists.
Playmakerstarts reports that, the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner, has made 56% tackles in the 34 matches played for Steve Cooper’s side this season.
Ayew’s record is bettered by only Ronan Curtis. The Portsmouth FC midfielder has made 69% tackles while West Ham United defender Emiliano Buendia is placed second on the ranking with 57%.
