The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has entreated Aduana Stars to beat ES Setif in the final round of the CAF Champions League.
The Dormaa-based outfit defeated Libyan side Al Tahaddy 2-1 on aggregate in the first round of the competition, and ahead of the much anticipated clash, the nation’s football governing body who had already supported the team with $30,000, has called on them to replicate the success of the first round.
In a letter addressed to the president of the club, the GFA congratulated Aduana Stars for scaling the first hurdle and encouraged them to replicate the performance against ES Setif.
“On behalf of the President and the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association, please accept our sincerest congratulations on your success in the preliminary matches which has guaranteed your Club’s qualification to the next stage of the CAF Total Champions League”.
” We have no doubt in our minds that this success will be repeated come Wednesday March 7, 2018 (home encounter) and that of your away game in Algeria”.
“As the sole representative of Ghana, the whole nation will be solidly behind you. We appreciate your hard work and commitment to showcase our brand of football to Africa and the rest of the world”.
“Go Aduana Stars, Go Ogya boys”, the GFA said in a statement signed its General Secretary Mr. Isaac Addo.
