Karela United winger Emmanuel Osei Baffour has fired warning shots to NC Special Competition defences insisting the young striker has more to unleash.
The 19-year-old leads the Top Scorer Chart with 8 goals after scoring twice against WAFA in a 2-0 win.
The striker has scored 33 league goals in approximately 48 matches across the two top tiers (Division 1 & the top-flight) since 2016.
Taylor netted 24 times for Bibiani Gold Stars and has now scored 9 for Karela United.
He is the first player to score twice in three consecutive league matches in recent history.
Osei Baffour has contributed in three of the eight goals Diawisie has scored so far in the season.
“He is very good. He has great potentials to reach the top. Everybody should watch out for him,” Baffour told ncspecialcompetition.com.
Karela head coach Johnson Smith suggests he is not surprised by the form Taylor has exhibited so far.
“I brought him (Diawisie Taylor) from Bibiani Gold Stars and there he emerged the goal king. When he joined here, I’ve taken my time and taught him what he has forgotten and he’s picked up so well,” the former Asante Kotoko assistant coach told ncspecialcompetition.com.
He will be seeking to extend his scoring run when they face Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 12.
