English-born Ghanaian forward Tariqe Fosu netted a hat-trick for Oxford United at the Sincil Stadium on Saturday as they walled Lincoln City 6-0 in the English League One.
Fosu who joined Oxford this summer from Charlton Athletic was in his best quality on the day as he really tormented his opponents’s defense men, giving City their heaviest defeat.
Fosu opened the scoring after being superbly set up by Jamie Mackie.
He however scored his second goal in the 40th minute with a sumptuous strike after being played through by Benjamin Woodburn.
Two more goals from Jamie Mackie and James Henry saw the away side cruising to a four nil lead before Fosu scored the fifth goal in the 70th minute.
Matt Taylor completed the demolishing campaign in the 79th minute with the sixth goal.
Fosu, 23, who is eligible to play for Ghana has banged in four goals and assisted three in nine League 1 games so far this season.
