Former Asante Kotoko forward Obed Owusu Yeboah has signaled his readiness to stage a potential comeback to the Ghana Premier League after concluding his stint with Nepal Super League side Birgunj United.
At 35 years old and currently without a club, Owusu expressed his eagerness to join any Premier League outfit on a free transfer, highlighting his availability during an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM.
Despite his willingness to return to the Ghanaian football scene, Owusu revealed that he has yet to receive any offers from local clubs. However, he remains open to the possibility while also considering options in the Nepalese league, where he has maintained contact with clubs.
“I’m ready to make a return to the Premier League provided clubs are able to meet my demands. Currently I’m a free agent, so if I’m being approached by any club in the country at the end of the season, I will consider returning to the league because that is where we started from,” Owusu stated.
“While I haven’t received any offers from Ghanaian clubs yet, I remain hopeful and open to the opportunity,” Owusu stated. “In the meantime, I’m exploring potential returns to the Nepalese league, either with Birgunj United or another club.”
With an extensive footballing background in Ghana, including spells with Okwahu United, All Blacks, Berekum Chelsea, and Asante Kotoko, Owusu brings a wealth of experience and talent that could benefit any club willing to secure his services for the upcoming season in the Ghana Premier League.
