League leaders, Karela United FC bounced back to winning ways at home against Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals FC after losing in their previous home game to Asante Kotoko.

The Pride and Passion lads earned a hard-earned narrow win at home to consolidate their position on the league table after fifteen rounds of games in the Ghana Premier League 2020-21 season.

In-form midfielder, Umar Bashiru scored the opening goal of the match and his second in two successive games on the 27th minute to put the hosts 1-0 up in the first half after beautiful team play by Karela United.

Striker, Kwame Boateng scored in the second half to make it 2-0 for the home team who cruised to a comfortable win to open a four points gap over second-placed Accra Great Olympics.
