Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman played a pivotal role in Feyenoord’s commanding 4-1 win over Rijnsburgse Boys on Wednesday night, earning the Dutch club a spot in the KNVB Cup quarter-finals.
Osman, deployed on the wing during the Round of 16 encounter, delivered an impressive performance, contributing significantly to Feyenoord’s dominant display.
The highlight of his evening came in stoppage time when defender Gijs Smal provided the assist for Osman to score, sealing the victory in emphatic fashion. Shortly after his goal, Osman was substituted, making way for midfielder Luka Ivanusec as the game wound down.
Feyenoord took control early, heading into halftime with a 3-1 lead. Santiago Gimenez netted twice, and Givairo Read added another to underline their attacking strength. Rijnsburgse Boys managed to pull one back through Ilias Kariouh, assisted by Dutch-Ghanaian winger Delano Asante.
Osman’s late strike not only put the finishing touch on Feyenoord’s performance but also reinforced their determination to compete for KNVB Cup glory this season.
