Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) leader, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has disclosed his intention to venture into academia.
The ex-Wa All Stars owner has been away from football administration since the unveiling of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ #12 football exposé.
In an interview, the former 1st Vice CAF president hinted at his upcoming role as a university lecturer.
Expressing his passion for this career move, Appiah stated, “I am aiming to be a lecturer soon,” during a conversation with Accra-based Starr FM.
He further outlined his aspirations, saying, “I’ll be entering into academia. I want to become a doctor in academia and a lecturer. That is what I want to do and I will do that soon.”
Notably, Kwesi Nyantakyi holds the distinction of being the only Football Association president to guide Ghana to three consecutive Fifa World Cups in 2006, 2010, and 2014 in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil, respectively.
Additionally, under his leadership, the Ghana U-20 team achieved the historic feat of becoming the first African country to win the World Cup.
