Alex Asamoah, a former forward for Asante Kotoko, has stated in an interview with Angel TV that he has not retired from football despite not playing for a while.
Asamoah, who was once the goal king of the Ghana Premier League, expressed his desire to return to action in the near future.
He attributed his absence from the game to an injury but claimed that he is now fully fit and available to play for any team.
“I have not retired from football yet, very soon, I will return to the pitch. I have been out for a while due to some injuries but now, I am fit and ready to play” he said.
Asamoah was once the most expensive signing in the Ghana Premier League after his move from Ashantigold to Asante Kotoko in 2008.
He played for several domestic clubs before leaving for new opportunities.
