Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals have dissolved their entire technical team following a poor 2015/2016 League campaign, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The technical team, headed by head coach George Lamptey and his assistant Felix Aboagyei were told their services will no longer be needed at the Dansoman based club on Tuesday morning after a post season friendly game against Division One League side Okyeman Planners at the Carl Reindorf Park.
A chunk of the players, most of whom have seen out their contracts with the club have also been sacked as well as the team manager and the club masseur.
The action by the club’s management has raised several eye brows amongst the fans of the club who have constantly attributed the club’s struggling campaign to their poor management.
Meanwhile with the season over and top flight football for next season secured, it remains to be seen whether or not Liberty will employ a new technical team or promote some of the club’s Academy trainers to first team duties.
Former captain, Wahid Mohammed as well as ex-midfield players Reginald Asante and Sheikh Tuah Khemis are all currently working as coaches in the club’s Academy.
