Ghana’s female senior national team the Black Queens on Thursday afternoon defeated Morocco 3-1 in a friendly encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Moroccan side took the lead through Chebbak Chizlane from the spot in the 5th-minute mark of the game.
The Black Queens despite going down in the early stages of the game didn’t give up as they fought from behind to record an emphatic 3-1 victory.
Faustina Kyeremeh, pulled parity for the Ghanaian side in the 30th minute before Linda Eshun and Georgina Ayisha Aoyem scored one each later in the second half to seal victory for the Black Queens.
The two sides will again play on Monday in a friendly at the same venue.
These friendly games will serve as preparatory grounds for the team as they gear up for the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers next year.
