Medeama SC prolific striker Bismark Oppong is set to miss the rest of the ongoing premier league matches due to contract expiration, his manager has revealed.
Speaking to Kumasi based FOX FM, Kojo Dabanka, Oppong’s manager stated that his client’s contract with the Tarkwa based club is due to expire by Sunday, August 13, which in his estimation, renders the player ineligible to continue the current league campaign.
Dabanka, who is said to be managing about twenty players in the current Ghanaian top flight, blames most clubs for improper handling of players regarding contracts, and hopes the situation is improved with the passage of time.
According to him, Bismark Oppong spent a season with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the early stages of his career, but was completely ignored by officials of the club, a situation which pissed the striker who has vowed to find the net anytime he plays against the Porcupine Warriors.
The mauves forward who grabbed a consolation goal in his side’s 3-1 premier league defeat to Kotoko in Kumasi has been a thorn in flesh for the porcupine warriors
He has netted six times in his seven outings against them.
