Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakso won the Man of the Match award in the Black Stars’ final Group F game 2-0 win over Guinea Bissau on Tuesday at the Suez Stadium.
The Alaves ace was a delight to watch in midfield for Kwasi Appiah’s side who put two goals past Guinea Bissua to finish Group F as leaders with five points.
Two second half goals from striker Jordan Ayew ensured Ghana seal passage to the last 16.
The Black Stars after picking a point each in their first two matches needed a win against Guinea Bissau to qualify to the next phase of the tournament and did exactly so to reach the last 16.
Ghana will face Tunisia in the round 16 stage of the tournament at the Ismailia Stadium on Monday, 8th July, 2019.
