Hearts of Oak board member Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has assured supporters that the club is on the path to reclaiming its competitive strength, despite recent setbacks.
The Phobians have struggled in the last two seasons, barely avoiding relegation in the final match of the previous season. However, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe remains optimistic about the club’s future, urging fans to be patient as they work towards long-term success.
“I can assure you that within the next five years, you will not believe the improvement. The standard of football alone at Hearts of Oak and its performances within and outside Africa will shock a lot of people. It is a long-term project, and I will tell the supporters that we are building something they will one day be proud of,” he said in an interview with JoySports.
Despite the challenges, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe emphasized that Hearts of Oak is steadily progressing toward becoming a dominant force once again in both Ghanaian and African football.
As they gear up for the upcoming season, the team has moved their pre-season training camp to Asutsuare in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region. Under the guidance of coach Abubakar Ouattara, the squad will train there for a week before heading to Lome, Togo, for the final phase of their pre-season preparations.
