The Ghana Football Association is expected to name Borussia Dortmund coach technical member, Otto Addo as the new assistant coach, SportsworldGhana.com can confirm.
The job has been vacant for almost a week now following the dismissal of Charles Kwablan Akonnor together with his assistants, David Duncan and Patrick Greveraars last week.
Though there have been no official confirmation as to who is yet to replace C.K Akonnor, former Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac looks the likely option to be given the nod after being approved by the association.
According to sources, an official announcement of the new head coach for the team is expected to be made in the coming hours by the Ghana Football Association.
The latest report also shows that, former Ghana international, Otto Addo will be assisting the Serbian coach should he assume his role as the head coach of the national.
Unlike the role of former assistant David Duncan, Otto Addo will be playing a similar role to that of Patrick Greveraars, as he will working for the Black Stars while also continuing his role at German club Dortmund.
Addo will not be staying in Ghana but will join the technical team as and when there is an international duty.
Addo has been part of the Dortmund coaching staff since 2020 when he was promoted into the first assistant coach under the tutelage of Edin Terzic.
