Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has opened up about the importance of getting a win on Sunday against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Ahead of the Sunday evening’s clash, the Serbian tactician has described the game as the most important one for Ghana.
Ghana were held to a 1-1 stalemate at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg in the round five qualifier last Thursday against a strong Ethiopian team.
“First, I want to congratulate my boys for fighting hard and I want to congratulate the Ethiopian team for a really good performance today.
“They deserve this result; we had some problems with our defence especially today. We made some mistakes so after all everything will be decided on Sunday.”
“For us, it is important to win our next match on Sunday with two goal difference if we want to qualify for the final round of the qualifications for the World Cup,” he said after draw against Ethiopia.
Ghana needs just a win by any margin to leapfrog South Africa and book a place in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers playoffs spot which is slated for March 2022.
