Ghanaian forward Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer continued his impressive form for Hamburger SV, scoring in a second consecutive game to help secure a 3-2 victory over Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga 2 on Saturday night.
The thrilling match, played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, saw Hamburger take the lead in the 23rd minute through German striker David Selke, who capitalized on a well-timed assist from Czech midfielder Adam Karabec.
Königsdörffer entered the game as a substitute in the 55th minute, replacing Selke. Just six minutes later, he made an immediate impact, doubling Hamburger’s lead with a stunning strike after a precise pass from Jean-Luc Dompé.
Hertha Berlin fought back, narrowing the deficit in the 72nd minute with a goal from French midfielder Mickaël Cuisance. Shortly after, Marten Winkler equalized, setting up a tense finish to the game.
However, Hamburger regained control and secured all three points when Kosovan forward Emir Sahiti netted the decisive goal six minutes from time.
Königsdörffer’s performance highlights his exceptional form this season. After 18 appearances in Bundesliga 2, he has already recorded nine goals and one assist, underlining his importance to Hamburger SV’s campaign.
