Ghanaian international Yaw Yeboah has completed a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) side Los Angeles FC on a two-year deal, lasting through 2026, with an option to extend until 2027.
Yeboah’s transfer involved Los Angeles FC acquiring his Right of First Refusal from San Diego FC. This came after San Diego selected him in Stage 2 of the 2024 MLS Re-Entry Draft.
LAFC secured his rights in exchange for $50,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM). He will occupy an international roster slot for the Black & Gold.
The 27-year-old midfielder joins LAFC after three remarkable seasons with Columbus Crew. During his time in Columbus, Yeboah played a pivotal role in the club’s success, including helping the team win the 2023 MLS Cup and the 2024 Leagues Cup. Notably, he scored the decisive goal against LAFC in the 2023 MLS Cup Final.
In total, Yeboah made 74 regular season appearances for Columbus Crew, starting 42 games. He contributed four goals and 12 assists, establishing himself as a dependable and dynamic presence on the field.
With his track record of success and versatility, Yeboah is expected to strengthen LAFC’s roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
