Asante Kotoko will be missing their key player, Richmond Lamptey, in tonight’s clash against Gold Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupines are set to square off against Gold Stars on match week 19 at the Baba Yara Stadium, but Lamptey will be absent from the lineup. Lamptey incurred a suspension after receiving a yellow card during Kotoko’s recent match against Heart of Lions.
This booking, received in the 45th minute, adds to Lamptey’s prior yellow cards earned in matches against Legon Cities and Nations FC in the first round, resulting in his absence for tonight’s crucial fixture.
In addition to Lamptey’s suspension, Asante Kotoko will also be without Isaac Oppong, who sustained an injury during the game against Heart of Lions, and Nicholas Mensah, who received a red card in the same match.
Despite these setbacks, Asante Kotoko remains determined to secure a positive result in tonight’s encounter, which is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm at the Baba Yara Stadium.
