Italy Serie A side Spezia Calcio playmaker, Emmanuel Quartsin Gyasi has shockingly been dropped from the Black Stars squad for Zimbabwe showdown this weekend.
The 27-year-old versatile forward has been axed by the Ghana Football Association without any proper explanation as at now.
Emmanuel Gyasi, a player who has captained Spezia this season and started all 7 games scoring 2 goals, has been dropped from the Black Stars squad without any injury concern , nor Covid-19 concerns.
The Ghanaian international who had already informed Spezia’s management and executives that he had been called up to the Black Stars was shocked after he learnt he had been dropped from the squad after he confronted the GFA.
Shockingly, the technical team of the Black Stars opted for youngster Fatawu Issahaku, who hasn’t played competitive football since the division 1 ended months ago as the best fit for the team than Gyasi, who has been active for Spezia Calcio and scored against giant, Juventus FC.
Went through Emmanuel Gyasi’s stats over the last year.
Gyasi has the most goal contributions of any Ghanaian player in Europe’s top 5 leagues in 2021, scoring 5 and providing 2 assists.
Nonetheless, he has been deemed unfit to feature for the Stars against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the double-header of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
