Black Starlets playmaker Emmanuel Toku says the reason why he struggled to make a bigger impact at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India is because he was played out of position by coach Paa Kwesi Fabin.
“I was played out of position and that is why I struggled. If you look at the Niger game where I played in my natural position (behind the striker) you saw the impact. ” Toku told Metro FM.
When asked if he discussed his role in the team with the coach he responded ” I could not have told the coach. As a young player I could not do that”.
Ghana were beaten by Mali in the quarter-finals four days ago and the Ghanaian starlets arrived in Accra yesterday.
