Zambia’s Copper Queens forward, Racheal Kundananji, is radiating confidence in her team’s chances ahead of the pivotal Olympic Games qualifiers against Ghana.
In the upcoming showdown, the Black Queens will host Zambia in Accra for the initial leg on February 23, followed by a journey to Lusaka for the return leg.
Fresh off her notable transfer from Real Madrid to Bay FC, Kundananji, now the most expensive player in women’s football, emphasizes Zambia’s advantage heading into the clash in Accra.
“Playing away is very difficult but we have the advantage and we have to use it. Winning that match or even if it is not winning but coming back with a point is better and when we come back here [Zambia] we finish the job,” she stated to FAZ, the official media channel of the Zambian Football Federation.
“We want to qualify because we want to go and do what we failed to do last time,” emphasized the Bay FC player.
Zambia, having represented Africa in the previous Olympic Games, aims to replicate their success, while Ghana seeks to secure its first-ever qualification in women’s football for the prestigious multi-sport event.
