Ghanaian youngster Richmond Tachie secures promotion with Borussia Dortmund II

German-born Ghanaian forward, Richmond Tachie has gained promotion with Borussia Dortmund II after beating Wuppertal Sportverein on Saturday afternoon on the road.

The Ghanaian forward who joined the Yellow and Blacks last summer as a free agent and played his part in his team’s victory over Wuppertal to secure Bundesliga 3 football next season.

Kevin Hagemann scored in the first half of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after 34 minutes.

Two minutes into the second half after going behind, the Yellow and Blacks struck back on the 47th mark through topsman Steffan Tigges to restore parity.

Three minutes to full, substitute Ansgar Knauff who replaced Tachie grabbed the winning goal for the away team as they came from behind to secure promotion on the final day of the Regionalliga West.

Tachie scored 11 goals in 40 appearances in the league and also bagged 10 assists to help his side secure a third tier league football in Germany.
