After Zamalek‘s refusal to show up to Premier League clash against Misr El-Maqassa, the EFA issued an official statement stating the punishments facing the White Knights.
Zamalek’s chairman Mortada Mansour fulfilled his promise and did not allow his team to show up to the Premier League clash against Misr El-Maqassa, after the EFA changed the match date from April 15th to April 16th due to security concerns.
In an official statement, the Egyptian Football Federation stated, “According to article 46 in the competition’s regulation, the surrendered team will lose the game 3-0 and the three points. Second, three points will be deducted from the surrendered team at the end of the season and will be rearranged in the league table, if completed the competition. Finally, the surrendered team will be fined 200,000 EGP.
It is worth mentioning that Mansour challenged the EFA, stating that no one can punish or dock points from Zamalek.
