Match Report: Asante Kotoko 0-0 Tema Youth – Porcupine Warriors fail to end winless streak

Asante Kotoko could not find the needed winner as they were held by Tema Youth at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko dominated proceedings right from the blast of the first half whistle but could not hold on to their dominance as Tema Youth reorganized themselves well to steal the show from Kotoko who needed a goal desperately in the game.
Joseph Painstil should have shot the Harbour City boys in front after missing a one- on one situation with Kotoko goal keeper Ernest Sowah.

Back from recess, Tema Youth started piling pressure on Kotoko in attempt to break the virginity of the game but Ahmed Adams and Nafiu Awudu ensured were denied easy penetration to their defense.

James Akamiko’s brilliant shot hit the cross-bar few minutes after Abass Mohammed was denied scoring a one – one situation from resolute Tema Youth defense.

Coach Frimpong Manso made his first substitution by introducing Ashitey Ollenu into the game on the 55h to replace Baba Mahama with poster boy Emmanuel Gyamfi coming on for Frank Sarfo Gyamfi.

Striker Abass Mohammed had to be substituted for Kwame Boateng but his first touch unfortunately though dangerous was not enough to give the Porcupine Warriors victory over Tema Youth the thrilling clash.

The result means Kotoko have gone 8 matches without a single win.
