Match report: Olympics silence Berekum Chelsea, Dwarfs pip Sharks in Cape Coast

Coffie Bekoe’s 61st strike at the left corner was what separated Great Olympics from Berekum Chelsea of the first game of the second round of the Ghana premier league.

Olympics showed flashes of what they have install for the encounter, depicting glimpses of what earned them a point at the Golden City Park in the corresponding fixture, giving the visitors run of their money.

There was nothing to show on the score sheet in the first half notwithstanding the effort shown by both teams but it was Olympics whose supremacy counted.

Francis Atsu managed to go pass two Chelsea defenders before finding the eventual scorer Coffie Bekoe, whose effort sealed the day for the host.

Elimina Sharks could not build on their victory over Dwarfs at Ndoum Park as they fall woefully at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Ebusua Dwarfs were on the rampage in the first half as goals by Isaac Kwain, Osman Mohammed, and Nicholas Gyan put the duel beyond the reach of the visitors.

The game went dormant in the second but Elmina Sharks secured consolation in the closing stages of the game through Bnejamin Boateng.
