20 players from nine different countries have scored at least three goals in a single match. Brazil superstar Marta scored the tournament’s first hat-trick of all time against France in 2002.

18 is the record number of appearances made by Brazil’s Renata Costa, who featured at three separate finals in 2002, 2004 and 2006.

14 years and 11 months was the age of Mexico’s Charlyn Corral when she found the target against Switzerland in 2006 to become the youngest goalscorer in the history of the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

14 seconds into their 2014 match against Korea Republic, Nigeria’s Courtney Dike scored the tournament’s fastest-ever goal.

10 goals is the highest tally ever scored by a player in the history of the U-20 Women’s World Cup. Three players have reached this figure: USA’s Sydney Leroux, Germany’s Alexandra Popp and Canadian Christine Sinclair.

7 is the number of times Germany and USA have met at this competition – more than any other pairing.

4 teams have featured at every edition of the U-20 Women’s World Cup so far – Brazil, Germany, Nigeria and USA.
