Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders General manager Takyi Arhin has praised sports minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah for his insightful vision to establish a ten(10) multi purpose sports complex to help unearth talents in Ghana.
The sports minister made this promise over the weekend in a ‘meet the press’ conference in Accra.
Stressing on the aforementioned promise by the sports minister, Arhin told Accra based Top FM ” It’s a good thing to say, but these politicians are they able to do what they say”
“The nation keep on hearing similar promises over and over again,” Takyi Arhin said.
The astute football administrator upon lunching on to his talks added by saying “Which money is Isaac Asiamah going to rely on to build this multi purpose sports complex,” he asked.
“If Asiamah is to rely on the budget of the government, then all his talks will be a mirage.”
“Asiamah told the country earlier on when appointed the sports minister to close up the Accra sports stadium which has destroyed beyond recognition to become a death trap, but later came to say Accra Hearts of Oaks and Accra Great Olympics who plays there as their grounds has alerted him to halt on the renovation of the stadium for the end of the season”
“the season has ended for close to two(2) months now but nothing has been done about the stadium,” he added.
Bringing his talks to a stand-still, Mr. Arhin sounded some words of caution to the media saying ” the media should also help to play their part to prune appointed ministers on how they can arrive on a census to achieve their made promises”.
“The press should also question them with care and wisdom to talk the truth for the country to know the truth behind their doings rather than making friends with them,” the renowned sports administrator concluded.
Takyi Arhin forms a member of the Ghana Division One(1) league board.
