Ghana international Afriyie Acquah has joined Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al Batin FC after failing to renew his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor.
The 29-year-old enforcer spent two successful years in Turkey where he made 65 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists as Yeni survived the drop zone twice.

He is expected to pay a key role in the setup of Al Batin as coach Aleksandar Veselinović seeks to bring stability in his midfield after they finished 12th last season.
Acquah spent eleven successful years in Europe playing for a host of clubs including Palermo, Parma, Sampdoria Empoli, Torino, Yeni and others.
