Free agent James Akaminko joined Great Olympics during the second transfer window of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier Leaue season and this transfer could proved to be a bargain.
The former Ashantigold midfielder is one of the best ball playing midfielders in the country and will definitely improve the existing Olympics midfield.
The trio of Gladson Awako, Kasim Razak and Michel Otu has established itself as one of the best midfield combination in the league but Akaminko will push to start. It is obvious the the 25-year old Ghanaian will be fighting for a first team place directly against Razak for the defensive midfield role and this is where Akaminko presents different qualities.
He is able to sit deep in midfield to dictate how the game should go thanks to his great vision and passing abilities.
Olympics signing of Akaminko is yet another statement of intent as they seek to win the league title.
