The 25-year-old arrived in Germany few days ago after he was early denied visa to the country by the German embassy.
The highly-talented midfielder will take almost two months to make a full recovery, during which he will continue with a rehabilitation program.
Senanu sustained a knee injury while playing for the Ghanaian giants in their Caf Confederation Cup game against Zambian side ZESCO United in Kumasi.
