Black Stars midfielder Alfred Duncan has officially joined Italian Serie A side Cagliari from ACF Fiorentina on an initial six months loan with an option to make the deal permanent.

The midfielder joins Cagliari in a deal that will last until the end of the season, with a permanent move option at the end of the spell.
This 2020-2021 term, he’s made four paltry league appearances for Fiorentina, prompting him to step away in his search for more playing time.

He made his Serie A debut on August 26, 2012 at Pescara-Inter.

Cagliari are Duncan’s sixth club in Italy where he has played all his life.
After his Serie A debut and after making 23 more appearances for Inter in the first half of the 2012-13 season, he was grown at Livorno in the second tier for the remaining half of the tenure where he assisted to promote to the elite league.
He continued to play for Sampdoria and Sassuolo before joining Fiorentina last year, initially on loan.
With more playing time in Cagliari, Duncan is hoping to return to the Ghana national team, having been snubbed for calls throughout 2020.
