Liberty Professionals captain Simon Zibo has joined Portuguese outfit Vitória Sport Clube, the club has announced.
The Ghana U23 midfielder joins the Portuguese top flight side on a two-year contract with an option to extend his deal for another two years if he impresses the technical handlers of the club.
“The 21-year-old Ghanaian defender has signed a contract valid until 2021, with another season of choice, and will be a reinforcement of the Victorian team B.” a portion of a statement published on the club’s website read.
Zibo, before his move to Europe, was heavily linked to both Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
He joins compatriot Alhasssan Wakaso who is a key member of the club.
The lanky midfielder is a key member of the Ghana U23 team who are hoping to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
