Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC have announced the appointment of former Black Stars coach Mariano Barreto as the club’s new head coach.
Barreto handled clubs like Marítimo, Al-Nassr FC, Naval 1º de Maio, AEL Limassol, Recreativo do Libolo and Al-Qadisiyah.
The Porcupine Warriors took to Twitter to announce the appointment of the new gaffer.

He served as assistant coach at Russian sides Dynamo Moscow and Kuban Krasnodar.
Kotoko have been without a substantive since Maxwell Konadu was sacked in December, 2020.
