Five foreign players of the Ivorian national team have tested positive for Coronavirus at the Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The players who ply their trade in Europe were arriving at the camp of the Elephants in Jeddah but they have been diagnosed as having the disease and will now spend approximately two weeks in quarantine.
The names of the players has been withheld by authorities for now as the medical staff begins to attend to them in isolation.
Ivory Coast have been preparing in Saudi Arabia since Monday and they are due to stay until January 5, before departing to Cameroon, where they will compete in Group E against Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Sierra Leone.
