Ghanaian defender Robin Polley has joined Dutch top-flight side Heracles Almelo from ADO Den Haag.
The 22-year-old right-back cum winger joins the club with an option for another season.
Robin Polley after signing the deal said: “When I came here I had a good conversation with Frank (Wormuth, red) and Tim (Gilissen, red). I have a plan that I feel good about. I like the way of working and the way of playing. In addition, I have a great ambition for myself to eventually play Eredivisie matches here on a structural basis.”
The club’s Technical director Tim Gilissen spoke highly of Polley says: “Robin suits our way of playing and our vision. We got him with an eye on the future. We believe he has interesting conditions to grow with us and to take the next step in his career.”
Robin Polley made the switch from the youth of Spartaan ’20 to the youth of Feyenoord in the summer of 2016.
A year later he was picked up by ADO Den Haag where he mainly played for the excelled at the club.
His Eredivisie debut came on 11 August 2019, where he played the entire game against PSV.
In the past year and a half, Polley was loaned to FC Dordrecht, where he played a total of 24 matches in the Kitchen Champion Division.
The promising defender was a member of the Ghana U23 that failed to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games.
