Black Stars Coach, Kwasi Appiah has named a 29-man squad in his provisional list for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation scheduled for Egypt, next month.
The 29 consist of three goalkeepers, ten defenders, eleven midfielders and five strikers.
Ghana’s all-time leading top scorer Asamoah Gyan who on Wednesday rescinded his decision to retire from international football returns to the team as well as John Boye who recently qualified his team Metz to the French Ligue 1.
Three Ghana U-23 players namely Yaw Yeboah, Kwabena Owusu and Musah Nuhu all made the 29-man provisional list.
The Coach also gave three home-based players the opportunity to fight for slots in the final 23-man squad after their camping in Abu Dhabi.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Anna, and his teammate Abdul Fatawu Safiu as well Mohammed Alhassan of Hearts of Oak complete the list of the three local players.
FK Cukaricki Samuel Owusu meanwhile, has been handed his debut Black Stars call up ahead of the AFCON.
