Black Stars coach Chris Hughton is scheduled to unveil the final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday, January 1, 2024.
The squad presentation will take place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, where Hughton will provide details to the media as the team initiates preparations for the tournament.
Having initially named a 55-man provisional squad last week, the final selection will see the squad trimmed down to 27 players for the competition. Following the announcement, the selected players will converge in Kumasi for a ten-day training camp before heading to Abidjan.
A pre-AFCON friendly against Namibia has been confirmed for January 8, 2024, in Kumasi, providing a crucial warm-up for the Black Stars ahead of the continental showdown.
The four-time African champions, Ghana, are determined to break a 40-year AFCON title drought and will compete in Group B against Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.
