Sassuolo defender Claud Adjapong is convinced that Italy is not the perfect place for players to develop.
The 23-year-old right-back mentioned that opportunities in Italy are limited for young players as compared to places such as Germany.
“At 23 I have played for the national youth teams. The normality? Yes, but we know how it works in Italy, unfortunately, we give less space to young people.” He told TuttoMercatoWeb
“In the Bundesliga, for example, youngsters who are at age 23 already have 200 appearances. With us it is more difficult to emerge. We tend to buy them from abroad for millions of dollars.”
Adjapong who has suffered series of injuries in recent times played he just ended season on loan at Lecce where he made six appearances in all competitions.
