Karela United bounced back from the home defeat against Asante Kotoko to win 2-1 at Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast.
Diawisie Taylor scored his 10th goal of the season at stroke of half time to put Karela United 2-0 up after midfielder Umar Bashiru opening strike in the 24th minute.
The home side pulled a goal back four minutes from full time through striker Benjamin Acquah but that was still not enough to prevent a home reverse for the team of coach Ernest Thompson.
Karela are back at the summit of the table on 25 points two more than Kotoko who have played a game less. The Porcupine Warriors did not play this weekend as they engaged ES Setif in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off – a game the Ghanaian side lost 2-1 in Accra.
Taylor and his teammates put the disappointment of losing a first league game at the Crosby Awuah Park to make another big statement in Cape Coast against a Dwarfs side who were increasing in confidence.
