Michael Essien has won the legal case against Panathinaikos as the Greens will pay him a fee of 419.000 euros.
The Ghanian ace has been demanding a fee of 651.000 euros from Panathinaikos as he was expected to win the legal case against his former club for the financial differences they had.
The 34-year-old dragged the Greek giants to the Finance Dispute Resolution chamber of the Greek Football Federation over the handling of his severance package.
Represented by one of the highly respected sports lawyers in Greece Lina and Aspa Souloukou, who are sisters, Essien sought the payment of the entire money from his remaining one-year contract with the Greek giants Panathinaikos.
The former Chelsea midfielder has won the case against the Greens, however Panathinaikos will pay a compensation in the region of 419.000 euros.
