German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have decided to keep youngster Richmond Tachie for another season with the BVB II side, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The Yellow and Blacks confirmed that the German-born Ghanaian versatile forward will remain at the club for the upcoming season despite interest from newly promoted team, VFL Bochum.
The club released a hosts of players after gaining promotion to the third tier league in Germany but opted to keep the center-forward, Tachie whose current contract with the club expires in June 2022.
Tachie joined the Yellow and Blacks last summer as a free agent after leaving Viktoria Köln and was an integral part of the BVB U23 team that sealed promotion this season to the Bundesliga 3.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian striker played 40 matches this season in the Germany Regionalliga West and bagged 10 goals with 11 assists helping his team to secure promotion into the professional league in Germany.
With his scintillating form and displays in the lower tier of Germany leagues, the fast growing attacker has attracted a lot of interest by teams in the Bundesliga 2 and VFL Bochum, who qualified this season to play in the Bundesliga have also shown a key interest in the attacker.
Dortmund are considering extending his contract to keep him at the club to play in the Bundesliga 3 with the reserve side of the famous Yellow and Blacks outfit.
