English born Ghanaian winger Brendan Wiredu-Sarpong is set to sign for League Two outfit Colchester United.
Wiredu-Sarpong, 21, was released by Charlton Athletic on February 1 after thirteen years together and he is on his way to the English fourth-tier club.
SPORTSworldGhana.com can exclusively reveal that Colchester United have already completed talks with the player and his agent and he is expected to have his medicals in the coming days.
Wiredu-Sarpong who can also operate as a right-back featured for Colchester on loan during 2019-20 campaign and greatly impressed the technical team.
Colchester United already have two players of Ghanaian parentage in their fold namely Kwame Poku as well as Michael Folivi and he will be the third.
