Black Queens defender Faustina Ampah has successfully undergone a knee operation in Belarus after being laid off for some months.
Ampah, had her left knee worked on after picking up a knock at her club side before joining Ghana for the 2018 Women’s AFCON.
She seemed to have worsened the injury situation while playing for the Black Queens by suffering another injury which ruled her out of Ghana’s final group game with Cameroon.
The successful operation was done on Wednesday and will see her out of action for six months before returning to the pitch.
Ampah posted tweeted “I have successfully undergone my surgery on my left knee, on Wednesday, thanks to everyone who has assisted me with prayers and goodwill messages.”
