Captain John Boye, again was superb for Metz who recorded a 2-1 win against Reims on Sunday at the Stade Saint Symphorien.
Boye’s leadership on the field was impeccable, as he inspired his teammates to clinch all three points of the game at home.
The home side took an early lead through Senegalese youngster Ibrahima Niane in the 18’ minute but saw his goal equalized by Boulaye Dia who calmly converted from the spot just before the break.
Five minutes after recess, the away side were reduced to 10 men after Munetsi was sent off for unsporting conduct.
Niane again scored in the 88th minute after he connected a delightful cross from Papa Yade from close range to hand his side a 2-1 home victory.
Metz will travel to Orange Velodrome to play Olympic Marseille in match week 5 fixture.
