Belgian side KRC Genk, have become the latest club to join the pool of clubs interested in signing Ghana left-back Gideon Mensah from RB Salzburg this summer.
The 22-year-old former WAFA star has been impressive at Zulte Waregem this season, having made 23 appearances and provided three assists in all competitions last term.
Dutch Newspaper Het Belang van Limburg, reports that Genk are willing to pay his asking price tag of €2.7m in order to beat competition from RSC Anderlecht for his signature.
Mensah, formerly Sturm Graz loanee, has returned to his parent club RB Salzburg after the expiration of his loan spell with Waregem but looks more likely to return to the Belgian Pro League on a permanent deal basis.
The Black Stars defender’s market value currently stands at €2.7m, according to transfermarket.
Meanwhile, Anderlecht, are currently in talks with Dutch side PSV to sign Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen an a permanent deal ahead of the 2020/21 season.
