President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has presented a Black Stars jersey to Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia ahead of the country’s World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will play Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium in their first game before going on to face South Africa, and the GFA president has paid a courtesy call on the vice president of the land ahead of the games.
Kurt Okraku posted on Facebook : Build up to the big weekend: We paid a visit to the Jubilee House where our Veep ,H.E.Bawumia welcomed us to his office..
We had a good meeting and many issues affecting the growth of our game were discussed including but not limited to the BIG VAT on football, whilest other entertainment providers pay less, Sports Fund, activities of Betting companies in Ghana and their NON contribution to the developement of sports, Tax reliefs for companies who want to support football , developement of more pitches for football,Support for domestic footabll, support for clubs who represent Ghana in Afriaca and support for women’s football amonsgt others.
I also used the platform to thank H.E for his massive support for football and hoped he will continue to support the beautiful game.
